I was in New Delhi, India for a tendon repair procedure and hip joint tests. I received the treatment by UK trained orthopedic surgeon. The hospital treatment, clinical therapy and Chiropractor in India were excellent and inexpensive. The style of the Indian massage therapy was not what i had expected, some of the massage therapies offered in US were not available at New Delhi. The hotel and car drivers facilitated by Life Smile were excellent, i enjoyed Indian cuisine immensely.

Before visiting India, i had consults with a few orthopedic doctors in USA and got different medical opinions and treatments for my condition, none of them worked. Now, after 3 months of my departure from India, i am happy to state that my orthopedic surgeon in India was the ONLY doctor who got it right - made a correct diagnosis and fixed it well, the inflammation is gone and i can now sit on chair without any pain or stiffness. India is an outstanding health care alternative when the doctors and surgeons in USA can't help you and / or you can't afford the cost of US health care.

I am thankful to Life Smile health care for every bit of it. I'll be making a return trip to India for spinal surgery- a lumbar spine joint replacement.

I wish to reflect on my visit to India for the knee surgery.

I would like to register my profound appreciation for the professional manner in which Life Smile conducted my diagnosis, right from the moment I had made contact with Life Smile, to the reception on my arrival and lastly the efficient Hospital admission for the treatment. At no time did I feel my time wasted and the whole process went like clockwork!

I am happy to confirm that the Hospital staff were very friendly and attended to all my health care needs. The Nutritionist at the hospital is especially worthy of praise for her great concern and encouragement to ensure that I never missed a single meal!

I was a client of Life Smile and i accompanied my wife for a Thyroidectomy procedure in India and took the occasion to get an executive physical, a Heart scan on the latest 64 slice CT scan, an Arthritis consultation and X-rays for my knees, and a Colonoscopy performed in India. My wife's surgeon was the Laparoscopic surgery department chairman at the hospital, he was a perfectionist in minimally invasive surgery. Normally, a Thyroidectomy leaves a small scar around the throat. This minimal access operation left a scar so small that you don't realize that its there.

Don't pass up the Colonoscopy which costs around $ 100 at the hospital in India. My brother's health plan in California paid $ 6000 for a Colonoscopy and I shopped around seven years ago and found a cost of $ 1700. My physical showed excellent health, but it was the Colonoscopy that showed the hidden danger. In my case, the Colonoscopy revealed a large polyp that was likely to develop into cancer in a few years. Life Smile, our facilitator in India pulled the strings and got my own unexpected colon surgery moved up a week to minimize my time in India (my family returned to the US without me). The arthritis consultations with two orthopedic doctors provided information to help me preserve my knees without a replacement joint surgery.

What they did not count on was our getting off at the wrong stop in Jaipur. The train conductor said we'd reach Jaipur at 10:30 pm, so we dutifully got off at a train station at around 10:30 pm. This train station was on the outskirts of Jaipur city, not the main station in Jaipur where we were supposed to meet with the Life Smile representative. Once we realized that we were lost, we called on Life Smile 24 X 7 assistance number through the cell phone that is provided to all of their overseas patients for use in India. In no time Life Smile had the hotel staff at Jaipur scouring the town for us. A helpful Jaipur citizen helped out and vectored the searchers directly to us. I'd like to emphasize that even though we were in a strange city late at night, we never feared for our safety. India is a safe place.

I'm pleased with the results of this trip. Both my wife and I had excellent medical care. I found out later that Life Smile enlists only the top doctors and surgeons for their global medical tourists because they want to get assured of a successful outcome.
